THORACIC SPINE BURNS?
My upper spine burns like sh** When I get on my inversion table, I feel that t4 or t5 disc popping, it also hurts when I raise my arms. I’m 40 lbs over weight right now, and I know being overweight is not helping my posture or upper spine. Could my Temperpedic Mattress be part of the culprit, and I should switch to a Sleep Number Bed. I don’t know what to do. I’m so angry about it, I eat in reaction to the pain. I think the pain has to calm down some before I can have the motivation to lose the weight So I feel like I’m in a Catch 22 here. I really can’t stand this pain, it’s horrible

Hiya,
Have you been to the docs yet? I have massive problems with my ribs and upper spine, and when I read that you feel it burning I thought it sounded exactly like what I feel.
If you can get a scan done, you could find out straight off what it might be but I suspect that it will depend on where you live whether that’s possible (i.e. in the NHS you’ve close to no hope!). What I would say though is that being 40lbs overweight may not help – but what are the chances it’s actually causing that much pain? Your posture though, that’s a different matter altogether and I think that’s maybe a lot to do with my pain – maybe try the posture exercises the physio’s give out to strengthen up?
Am no expert though so could be talking crap!! Best to see your doc, hope it all resolves itself soon.
